Unauthenticated command execution
Published Jun 18, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in NETGEAR Orbi WiFi systems before 3.2.15.25 allows attackers to execute commands from an adjacent network without authentication. NETGEAR has not published the vulnerable handler, parameter, or unsafe operation that passes untrusted input to a command interpreter. Any adjacent-network attacker can reach the flaw without credentials, and successful exploitation permits commands to affect device confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
