CVE-2020-14327Network attack vector

Internal service access via credential test redirects

Published May 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

SSRF in Red Hat Ansible Tower 3.6.4 and earlier and 3.7.0 through 3.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to access internal services. The credential lookup test accepts a user-controlled URL, sends a default POST from the Tower server, follows attacker-directed HTTP 307 redirects, and returns the internal response. Any logged-in user can control the request body through the api_key parameter, enabling GET or POST requests into the internal network and disclosure of responses.
