CVE-2020-14301Network attack vector

Cookie disclosure via insecure domain XML formatting

Published May 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in Red Hat libvirt 6.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read HTTP-disk cookies via domain XML dumps. The HTTP-disk cookie formatter includes cookie elements in ordinary domain XML when VIR_DOMAIN_XML_SECURE is absent. Access to a read-only libvirt connection and a domain configured with HTTP-disk cookies is sufficient to recover those cookie values.
