Administrator-level command execution via unquoted color filter
Published Jun 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Cacti 1.2.12 color export allows remote authenticated users with administrative access to execute server commands. The color_export() function inserts the filter request parameter directly into name and hex LIKE clauses without database quoting. Administrative access to color.php and a later host reindex are required; stacked queries can replace path_php_binary and reach shell_exec.
