Sensitive data exposure via weak Keychain protection
Published Oct 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Weak cryptographic processing in HCL Traveler Companion before 12.0.0 allows physically proximate attackers to disclose sensitive data. The bundled MobileIron AppConnect SDK weakens iOS Keychain data protection, but HCL has not disclosed the incorrect cryptographic operation. Exploitation requires high privileges and physical access to the iOS or iPadOS device, and the reported consequence is confidentiality loss only.
