CVE-2020-14246Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via decodable Basic authentication

Published Feb 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Credential exposure in HCL OneTest Performance 9.5, 10.0, and 10.1 allows remote attackers to decode Basic authentication credentials. The affected authentication path uses reversible Basic authentication encoding rather than a mechanism that keeps credentials confidential in transit. Exposure requires access to the authentication exchange, and the documented impact is credential disclosure without reported data modification or service interruption.
