Arbitrary file read and SSRF via XXE
Published Jun 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in WebFOCUS Business Intelligence 8.0 SP6 allows remote authenticated users to read local files or send server-side requests. The /ibi_apps/WFServlet.cfg endpoint passes attacker-controlled IBICFG_content XML to a parser that permits external entity resolution. Administrative access is required; exploitation can enumerate local or network files, open ports, and internal services through response timing.
