File and intranet disclosure via unrestricted URL conversion
Published Aug 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SSRF in Gotenberg 6.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read local files or fetch intranet resources through URL-to-PDF conversion. The conversion flow lets Chromium follow an attacker-supplied destination without allowlist or denylist enforcement, including file and internal-network URLs. The HTTP API must be network-reachable; no authentication or user interaction is required to return rendered local or intranet content.
