Published Apr 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper integrity-check validation in Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 allows attackers to elevate privileges through a malicious app. An undisclosed MIUI application accepts parameters supplied by third-party apps without validating their checksum. A user must install the attacker-controlled app; successful exploitation elevates its privileges and can disrupt normal system services.
