CVE-2020-14075Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsanitized WAN parameters

Published Jun 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Command injection in TRENDnet TEW-827DRU devices through 2.06B04 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary device commands. The apply.cgi handler fails to neutralize command syntax in wan_ifname or wan0_dns values for PPPoE and DHCP connection actions. Access to the authenticated router management interface is required, after which injected commands run on the device and can compromise its data and operation.
