Code execution via permitted Xalan JNDI gadget

Deserialization in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.9.0 through 2.9.10.4 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted JSON. SubTypeValidator's denylist permits the shaded Xalan JNDIConnectionPool class, so polymorphic type metadata can instantiate that JNDI gadget. Exploitation requires an application to accept untrusted JSON, enable Default Typing or equivalent Object-based @JsonTypeInfo, and have the gadget class available.
