Unauthenticated command execution via built-in administrator access
Published Jun 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Insecure default administrator access in Lansweeper 6.0.x through 7.2.x allows remote attackers to execute commands through deployment features. The web console enables Built-in Admin by default and grants it full access; Add New Package and Scheduled Deployments then accept commands. Any network user who can browse to the console can select Built-in Admin unless it is manually disabled, reaching functions that execute commands on managed assets.
