Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated sort parameters
Published Jun 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in J2Store before 3.3.13 for Joomla! allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data via administrator requests. The product-list model in administrator/components/com_j2store/models/products.php incorporates filter_order and filter_order_Dir values into a database query without restricting them to safe sort fields and directions. A trusted store manager account and access to the Joomla administrator product list are required; injected SQL executes with the site database account's privileges.
