Missing authorization in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 through 2.4.46 allows local users to stop httpd on Windows. Apache has not published the vulnerable code path or the missing privilege check that accepts a shutdown request from an unprivileged account. Any unprivileged local account can interrupt the Windows-hosted web service, while confidentiality and integrity are unaffected.
