Authentication bypass in Apache Zeppelin 0.9.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to act as another user via network requests. The zeppelin-server authentication path honors zeppelin.anonymous.allowed even when Apache Shiro is configured, admitting requests without the configured identity check. A network-reachable deployment with Shiro and anonymous access enabled permits notebook changes under the impersonated identity.
