Tunnel access via wildcard forwarding listener
Published Jun 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in RoyalApps Royal TS before 5 allows remote attackers to access active Secure Gateway tunnels without credentials. Royal TS binds each temporary Secure Gateway forwarding port above 50000 to 0.0.0.0 instead of the loopback interface, exposing the authenticated tunnel to the local network. An attacker on that network can find an open port and reach an internal SSH, RDP, or Telnet service without authenticating to the gateway; access to the destination still depends on that service's own controls.
