Privilege escalation in Qbik WinGate 9.4.1.5998 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM by replacing WinGate.exe. The installation assigns Authenticated Users full control over WinGate.exe, allowing a Trojan executable to replace the privileged binary. A WinGate restart or system reboot is required to launch the replacement under the SYSTEM account.
