Unauthenticated access via predictable OTP
Published Feb 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication weakness in Mofi MOFI4500-4GXeLTE 4.0.8-std allows remote attackers to access the undocumented mofidev account. The one-time-password algorithm generates predictable six-digit values instead of unpredictable credentials, allowing repeated guessing of the account's login code. The record describes network, unauthenticated access and confidentiality impact, but does not establish integrity or availability impact or a vendor fix.
