Kernel data disclosure via straight-line speculation
Published Jun 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Armv8-A core implementations allows local users to reveal kernel-space data through timing analysis. A core speculatively executes instructions after an unconditional control-flow change, and a suitable revelation gadget leaves secret-dependent cache state. Exploitation requires local EL0 code, attacker-controlled register values, and a suitable gadget; Arm describes practical exploitation as difficult.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
