Notification exposure via DeX lock-screen bypass
Published Jun 4, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in Samsung mobile devices running Android 9.0 or 10.0 allows physically proximate attackers to view notifications. The DeX lock screen leaves the Quick Panel and notification interface accessible instead of enforcing device authentication. Physical access to a locked device with DeX active is required, exposing displayed notification content and Quick Panel controls without unlocking the device.
