Account access via unlimited CAS login attempts
Published Jun 4, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper login-attempt restriction in Foxit Reader and PhantomPDF before 9.7.2 allows remote attackers to guess account passwords. The CAS service continues processing authentication requests after repeated failures because it does not cap failed login attempts. Network access to the CAS login interface is required; sustained password guessing can expose accounts whose credentials are eventually guessed.
