CVE-2020-13783Public exploit

Administrator password disclosure via HTML source

Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cleartext password storage in D-Link DIR-865L Ax 1.20B01 Beta allows physically proximate attackers to read the administrator password. The tools_admin.php page embeds the administrator password in cleartext in its rendered HTML source rather than masking or omitting the value. Exploitation requires physical access to a machine with an active authenticated router session; disclosure enables use of the router's administrator credential.
