Password-hash disclosure via unchecked user property retrieval
Published Jun 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Gravity Forms before 2.4.9 allows remote attackers to obtain WordPress password hashes through network requests. In common.php, property handling passes user_pass to $current_user->get($property) without treating the password field as sensitive. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of hashed passwords.
