Sensitive option disclosure via query-parameter key override
Published Jun 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in ACF to REST API 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read WordPress options via crafted REST requests. The options endpoint combines attacker-controlled id and field query parameters into a wp_options key and returns the matching meta_value without authorization. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposed values include configured login and password data.
