Reflected XSS via unsanitized query strings
Published Feb 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in NanoHTTPD 2.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through a crafted query string. RouterNanoHTTPD.GeneralHandler renders query-string values in its HTML debug response without sanitizing or encoding them. Exploitation requires an application to inherit GeneralHandler without overriding GET and a user to open the crafted request, allowing script execution in that user's browser context.
