Reflected XSS via unverified live editor data
Published May 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in SiteOrigin Page Builder before 2.10.16 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The live-editor-preview.php template renders attacker-controlled live_editor_panels_data from a Custom HTML widget without nonce validation. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open a crafted live preview, enabling browser-context actions such as creating another administrator account.
