Administrator-session script execution via missing AJAX nonce
Published May 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in SiteOrigin Page Builder before 2.10.16 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The action_builder_content AJAX handler accepts attacker-controlled panels_data and echoes the resulting content without verifying a request nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator with edit permission to follow a crafted URL; the script runs in that session and can perform administrative actions.
