Browser script execution via unescaped widgetId reflection
Published May 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Centreon monitoring widgets allows remote attackers to execute script through the host toolbar widgetId parameter. The host-monitoring/src/toolbar.php endpoint places the untrusted widgetId value into executable page output without context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted request; the injected script then runs in that user's browser context with access to page data.
