Script execution via unfiltered widgetId parameter
Published May 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in affected Centreon service-monitoring widget releases allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via a forged link. The service-monitoring/src/index.php endpoint returns the widgetId query value without filtering it, causing injected JavaScript to execute in the page context. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted link; successful execution gains the browser session's access and can expose its data.
