CVE-2020-13562Known exploitationPublic exploitNetwork attack vector

Reflected XSS via unescaped action parameter

Published Feb 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cross-site scripting in phpGACL 3.3.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript via a crafted HTTP request. The admin/acl_admin.php endpoint copies the GET action parameter into a Smarty template and renders it without HTML escaping, allowing injected script markup to reach the response. Exploitation requires a victim to request the crafted URL; the documented impact is script execution in the victim's browser, which can expose session data or alter page actions.
