Victim-browser script execution via WAF-bypassing item identifier
Published Jun 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Bitrix24 through 20.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser via a crafted request. The mobileapp.list AJAX handler accepts a crafted items[ITEMS][ID] value through the Web Application Firewall and incorporates the payload into executable page content. Exploitation requires a victim to load the resulting content, and the script executes in the Bitrix24 origin with access to that user's page context.
