Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped hidden parameter
Published May 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Jason2605 AdminPanel 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or write database data via a crafted hidden parameter. The editPlayer.php handler inserted the POST hidden value directly into quoted players-table SELECT statements without escaping, allowing SQL syntax to alter the queries. A valid panel session is required; successful injection exposes or changes data accessible to the panel's database account.
