CVE-2020-13254Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Information disclosure via unvalidated memcached keys

Published Jun 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in Django 2.2 before 2.2.13 and 3.0 before 3.0.7 allows remote attackers to read cached data. The memcached backend passes malformed keys to nonvalidating drivers without checking them, desynchronizing requests and responses so later lookups can return another key's value. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled cache-key content, a nonvalidating memcached driver, and a later lookup of sensitive cached data.
