Stored XSS via inline HTML file rendering
Published May 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Dolibarr DMS/ECM 11.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via an HTML file. The direct-download response renders an uploaded .html file as active browser content when the attachment parameter is removed instead of forcing a download or neutralizing the markup. Exploitation requires permission to upload a file and a victim to open the altered link; script then runs in the Dolibarr origin and can read or change data available to that victim.
