Account creation via forged administrator request
Published Jun 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSRF in NukeViet 4.4 allows remote attackers to create a user account by inducing an authenticated administrator to submit a forged request. The users module add_user.php handler accepts account-creation POST fields at the user_add endpoint without requiring an anti-CSRF token. An administrator must be signed in and load attacker-controlled content; the resulting account permits persistent application access with the assigned privileges.
