Stored HTML injection via forged administrative request
Published Jun 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in NukeViet 4.4 allows remote attackers to inject stored HTML through an administrator's browser. In clearsystem.php, nv_insert_logs stores the joined, attacker-controlled deltype values without HTML sanitization, and the administrative system-log view renders the resulting entry. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit the forged form; the demonstrated consequence is persistent arbitrary HTML in system logs.
