Windows Update Orchestrator Service in Microsoft Windows 10 and Server Core releases through 2004 allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges via COM. The UniversalOrchestrator ScheduleWork method accepts requests without impersonating or authorizing the caller, then queues attacker-controlled command arguments for a SYSTEM service process. Local code execution and user interaction are required, and successful exploitation grants complete local-system control including data access, modification, and service disruption.
