Root escalation via user-controlled symbolic link

Local privilege escalation in Objective Development Little Snitch 4.5.1 and earlier allows local users to gain root privileges. A privileged operation changes ownership of a user-controlled directory path without safely resolving symbolic links, so a link can redirect the ownership change to a directory containing code that root executes. A logged-in local account is required, and successful exploitation grants root access but does not bypass System Integrity Protection.
