CVE-2020-1307

Local privilege escalation via improper kernel object handling

Published Jun 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper object handling in the Microsoft Windows kernel allows local users on affected Windows 10 and Windows Server releases to elevate privileges. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected object type, kernel routine, or incorrect memory operation beyond improper object handling. Local low-privileged access is required, and successful exploitation elevates the attacker's execution context without remote reachability.
