Local privilege escalation via escape-handler memory corruption
Published Nov 15, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Out-of-bounds read and write in AMD Radeon Software before 20.11.2 allows local users to escalate privileges or interrupt Windows. The Windows graphics driver mishandles untrusted data passed to Escape 0x6002d03, reading and writing beyond an intended memory boundary. A low-privileged local account is required; AMD does not disclose whether denial of service manifests as a hang or crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
