Arbitrary kernel-memory write in AMD Radeon Software before 20.7.1 allows local users to corrupt Windows via Escape 0x40010d. The Windows graphics driver's Escape 0x40010d handler permits attacker-controlled writes to kernel memory; AMD has not disclosed the faulty validation or write primitive. A low-privileged local account must issue the call; Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise before 21.Q1 is also affected, and exploitation can corrupt kernel memory or crash Windows.
