Application crash via NULL network buffer dereference

NULL pointer dereference in SANE Backends before 1.0.30 allows remote attackers to crash scanner applications on the same network. The epsonds_net_read function trusts the payload size in a scanner response and reads it through a NULL s->netbuf pointer when the size differs from the requested length. Opening simple-scan triggers network discovery without user interaction, and the malformed response terminates the application with a segmentation fault.
