Code execution via improper file-path validation

Improper file-path validation in Microsoft Windows Shell allows remote attackers to execute code as the current user through a crafted file. The Shell processes an attacker-controlled file path without properly validating it before using the path during file handling. Exploitation requires the targeted user to open the crafted file; resulting code runs with that user's privileges and can fully control data when the user is an administrator.
