CVE-2020-12775Network attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unfiltered URL parameters

Published Mar 1, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Command injection in HiCOS Client for Windows 3.0.0 and earlier and macOS 1.3.4.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands. The client-side component accepts command parameters from specific web URLs without filtering special characters before command execution. No authentication is required; successful exploitation runs arbitrary system commands and can interrupt or terminate the local service.
