Credential disclosure via inadequate Gatekeeper input validation
Published May 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper input validation in Samsung mobile devices with TEEGRIS on Android 9.0 and 10.0 allows attackers to determine credentials via brute force. The Gatekeeper trustlet inadequately validates authentication input, permitting repeated guesses that defeat intended brute-force resistance. The affected device must use TEEGRIS, and successful exploitation discloses user credentials without reported integrity or availability impact.
