Unauthenticated Telnet account access via hard-coded credentials
Published Jul 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Incorrect authorization in DEPSTECH WiFi Digital Microscope 3 firmware allows remote attackers to log in over Telnet with fixed credentials. The firmware exposes the molink account and accepts the hard-coded molinkadmin password instead of requiring device-unique authentication. Network reachability is sufficient for account access; the published assessment limits demonstrated impact to reading protected information.
