CVE-2020-12732Public exploit

Camera-feed disclosure via fixed Wi-Fi credentials

Published Jul 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Insecure Wi-Fi defaults in DEPSTECH WiFi Digital Microscope 3 allow physically proximate attackers to access its camera feed. The device initializes its wireless access point with the predictable Jetion_xxxxxxxx SSID pattern and the shared password 12345678 instead of a device-unique secret. Exploitation requires Wi-Fi proximity while the microscope is powered on, and successful association exposes the live images delivered to the companion application.
