Authenticated internal network access via redirect bypass
Published Jun 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Server-side request forgery in Redash 8.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reach private addresses through JSON queries. The JSON data source checks the submitted URL for a private address but follows attacker-controlled redirects to unchecked destinations. Exploitation requires authentication and an enabled JSON data source; exposed internal services or metadata determine the resulting disclosure or action.
