Browser script execution via stored page content
Published May 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in PageController in UliCMS before 2020.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser via saved page content. PageController's edit operation accepts the content parameter and stores script markup without neutralizing it before the page is rendered. Authenticated page-edit access and subsequent viewing by another user are required, bounding the consequence to script execution in that viewer's browser context.
