Wi-Fi credential disclosure via reversible pairing obfuscation

Weak encryption in eWeLink Android 4.9.2 and earlier and iOS 4.9.1 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to read Wi-Fi credentials. The Quick Pairing implementation encodes credential bytes in multicast packet lengths and applies only a fixed alternating subtraction of seven and two to password bytes. An attacker within 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi monitoring range can passively capture a pairing session and reconstruct the SSID and password without authentication; no integrity or availability impact is reported.
